A handmade personal initial in 9ct yellow gold. The V has broad shoulders, a tapered point and a small central opening. At 19mm long and 0.86g, it is light enough for daily wear.
Identity, gift and memory
Initial jewellery can mark the wearer’s own name, remember someone close or turn a private reference into a visible sign. For Les Trésors de Victoire, the letter also recalls Victoire and the V at the centre of the house. Its meaning remains open to the person who wears it.
Handmade character and provenance
The pendant is handmade. Its shaped outline, cutout centre and softly varied surface retain the character of hand production. No visible hallmark or maker’s mark identifies its workshop, date or country of manufacture, so those parts of its provenance remain unknown.
Gold and value
XRF testing produced a surface reading consistent with 9ct yellow gold. At the nominal fineness of 37.5%, its 0.86g gross weight gives a theoretical fine-gold equivalent of about 0.32g, before allowing for solder or other non-gold components.
